We are seeking a Production Specialist to join our team and be a significant contributor to Coapt’s current and future human interface product lines. This position is an opportunity for a capable and resourceful individual to make a mark. The successful applicant joins an established team with an expanding product pipeline. The Production Specialist will report directly to Coapt’s Operations Director or other company executives with strong liaisons to the company’s Engineering Managers, and Regulatory Compliance & Legal Affairs Manager.

Oversee the logistics associated with product line production and planning, ensuring resources are optimally allocated, and production schedules meet timelines.
Act as the primary point of contact between the production team and the engineering department. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to proactively identify and solve production-related problems.
Proactively identify potential production issues, develop solutions, and liaise with the necessary departments to prevent disruptions to the production timeline.
Handle some technical support calls and online meetings with Coapt customers and end users.
Entry of clinical and technical support detail into existing quality management job-ticketing systems, including periodic self- and team-log audits.
Assist with testing, QA documentation, and general preparation of product and repair shipments.
Assist with light electronics diagnosis, repair, assembly, and fabrication.
Assist with product materials’ receiving and acceptance procedures.
Periodically analyze and report on clinical and technical issues to a broader team.
Assist with maintenance of work instruction and other QA procedure documentation.
Participate in customer support log audits with internal team.
Contribute to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards.
Maintain a positive attitude while participating with a team and communicating with others.
Provide transparency to peers and company leads regarding prioritization of projects and status of current development and project tasks.
Completed or nearing completion of bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
Additional, degrees and/or coursework in electronics fabrication, technology, technical support, production scheduling, and/or quality assurance is an asset.
Hands-on electronics fabrication (soldering, PCB repair, small tool use)
Technical system troubleshooting and repair
Phone and online customer support
Technical documentation and ticketing software (e.g. JIRA, Salesforce)
Exposure to, and experience with, verification and validation duties under a Quality Management System
Knowledge of product development methodologies in medical device field (prosthetics preferred)
Regulatory (FDA, CE, ISO, etc.) familiarity is an asset
Relevant clinical experience is as asset
Exposure to the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics is an asset
